My Experience With Powtoon

Working with Powtoon has been a learning experience. I think that it is a great resource for students to share their knowledge or information on a subject. There were a few things that were difficult to navigate, like adding music or having the words enter the video at the right time. Despite these frustrations, it was my first time using Powtoon, so I'm not an expert. I think that the more I played with it the better I could get at the technical aspects of Powtoon.

Powtoon is a more interesting and engaging way to present information to students without using PowerPoint or Google Slides, which they have already seen before. It's also nice to have an avatar orally reading out what is on the slides (a great aspect for auditory learners or ELL students!).

I like how this is a free resource that can be added onto Google Drive and is free to export and share. These are important aspects for using a resource in a classroom so that students' work on the resource can be saved and viewed by the teacher on a later date. I made my own Powtoon video in a few hours, so I have confidence that I will improve with more practice and that my students could become efficient using this resource in a short period of time.
